  • Born in Boorloo/Perth, Renee Doropoulos works across photography and video.

    Her deeply personal practice is grounded in an ongoing enquiry into displacement, cultural inheritance, the body and our relationship to place and the natural world. Her work moves between document and imagination, considering photography both as a record and as a means through which memory and place are constructed.

    Renee has exhibited in group exhibitions at Cheap Tongue Gallery (Walyalup/Fremantle, 2025), PS Art Space (Walyalup/Fremantle, 2019), Fringe World (Boorloo/Perth, 2017), the Perth Centre for Photography (Boorloo/Perth, 2016) and FotoFreo (Walyalup/Fremantle, 2006). Renee's work has been shortlisted for the City of Wanneroo Art Award (Wanneroo, 2026), the Iris Award (Perth, 2005, 2015, 2025), and the Mono Awards (2025), and has been featured in Terra Firma and Australian Photography. Renee is the recipient of the Emerging Artist Award at the City of Wanneroo Community Art Awards (2026).
