Renee Doropoulos (b. 1980, Subiaco) is a Boorloo/Perth-based artist whose practice explores memory, place, environmental change, and cultural inheritance through analogue and digital photography, moving image, and camera-less darkroom processes, drawing on both historical photographic techniques and contemporary approaches.
Renee has exhibited in group exhibitions at Cheap Tongue Gallery (Walyalup/Fremantle, 2025), PS Art Space (Walyalup/Fremantle, 2019), Fringe World (Boorloo/Perth, 2017), the Perth Centre for Photography (Boorloo/Perth, 2016) and FotoFreo (Walyalup/Fremantle, 2006). Renee's work has been shortlisted for the City of Wanneroo Art Award (Wanneroo, 2026), the Iris Award (Perth, 2005, 2015, 2025), and the Mono Awards (2025), and has been featured in Terra Firma and Australian Photography. Renee is the recipient of the Emerging Artist Award at the City of Wanneroo Community Art Awards (2026).

COMMISSIONED PHOTOGRAPHY
I work with artists, galleries, and cultural organisations to create photography for exhibitions, publications, archives, and digital platforms. My commissioned work includes artwork documentation, exhibition photography, and editorial image making.
With may years experience working in the cultural heritage sector, including the photography of cultural collections, I bring a strong understanding of the technical and contextual requirements of photographing artworks.
My images have been published in exhibition catalogues, arts publications, and gallery communications, and used for archival and promotional purposes.
